Objectives

Through this project, our primary objective was to empower youth workers and young individuals by providing them with tools for personal resilience, well-being, and mindful leadership. Utilizing mindfulness as our core methodology, we aimed to equip youth workers with the necessary skills to facilitate sustainable and conscious social change within their local communities. The first training course, "BE WELL, BE YOU: MINDFULNESS FOR PERSONAL WELL-BEING AND RESILIENCE," focused on specific goals for youth workers, including developing a mindful relationship with themselves, others, and nature, gaining insights into their responses to challenging situations, cultivating resilience, integrating self-care practices, fostering a connection with the natural world, and applying acquired knowledge in their work with young people. The second training course, "LEADING FROM WITHIN: MINDFULNESS FOR CONSCIOUS SOCIAL CHANGE," delved into reflective practices regarding the interplay of environmental, social, and economic issues on local and global levels. It aimed to enhance youth workers' understanding of mindfulness in the context of social change, cultivate mindful leadership skills, and empower them to facilitate conscious social change processes. The ultimate goal was to engage youth workers, particularly those with fewer opportunities, in addressing social and environmental issues in their communities, fostering a sense of agency and purpose among them. Overall, the project sought to promote social inclusion, diversity, and active participation in public life, irrespective of individuals' backgrounds and circumstances. It also aimed to encourage an environment-friendly lifestyle, promote experiential and non-formal learning methods, and highlight mindfulness as a powerful tool for personal and social advancement. Ultimately, we aspired to enhance participants' employability and contribute to the resilience of partner organizations, fostering positive change at individual and community levels.
