Preventing racism and discriminationRoma and/or other minorities

Objectives

The problem of racism in sport is a global problem, regardless of the number of cases in each country, since the responses to these events are often the It therefore gives the impression that much remains to be done towards a zero-tolerance policy. Therefore, it is essential that all agents involved in these events as players, referees, clubs, supporters, media and government institutions promote actions to raise awareness and act effectively against discrimination and racist violence in sport. In addition, the fact that people from different cultures increasingly live together in Europe makes it necessary to equip organisations with techniques from the point of view of non-formal education, methods and tools needed to work on cultural diversity and the inclusion of migrants and minority groups. Thus, through this project we want to address issues such as discrimination and racism in sport and to provide youth workers, who work in sports associations and/or who work in culturally mixed areas, a toolkit for them to implement with young people in their local communities. The main objectives of this project are: 1. To identify forms of racist behaviour in the field of sport. 2. To promote prevention and education initiatives and projects to address racism in sport. 3. To exchange experiences, good practices and methodological tools related to sport and inclusion. 4. To create a visibility and awareness campaign to combat racism in sport. 5. To create a network of associations committed to working on the problem of racism in any field in order to develop future projects that promote the fight against this discrimination.
