Objectives

The project 'Training for Youth Workers on Media Literacy' was set in line with the objectives and priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme. It achieved the following objectives: - Increased competencies of directly involved participants needed to design, deliver, and evaluate quality youth activities addressing media issues. - Supported sharing tools, methods, and experiences between participating countries linked to addressing media issues and increasing media literacy among young people. - Explored the media and media literacy realities across participating countries with a focus on reflecting on the impact of media and social media on youth development and youth participation. - Created a series of video interviews with the aim of raising awareness among youth workers, leaders, and educators. These videos were disseminated through visibility and dissemination activities outside the consortium. - Created and published a description of 5 media activities to provide youth workers, leaders, and educators with new ideas for approaching the topic of media literacy on the SALTO youth website, the project's blog, and the websites and groups of participating organizations. - Provided space to brainstorm new ideas for local and international activities, including those that could be implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme. - Shared key lessons learned with the representatives of local communities through follow-up activities in the form of interactive presentations of the project stories shared by directly involved participants. - Shared lessons learned through the 'Online Booklet of Good Practices' in the area of the development of media competencies of young people. The booklet was made available for download by individuals, representatives of youth organizations, and educational institutions interested in media and media literacy.
