Objectives

With the project and the newly developed methods, our aim was to facilitate a transnational equal qualification in youth work and youth welfare, fostering an exchange on this topic among a variety of professionals during the seminars. Additionally, the objective was to enable young people to acquire key competencies such as perseverance, self-efficacy, mindfulness, and concentration skills through new learning methods and approaches, ensuring they are optimally prepared and supported for professional demands in an internationally equitable manner.

Background

Due to the high demand caused by the increasing mental health issues and illnesses among children and adolescents, it was our primary concern to provide assistance where it is needed. Thus, we developed a series of methods using experiential therapeutic techniques and skills in natural settings to counteract the psychological stressors experienced by children and adolescents, particularly exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, and to empower and prepare young people for their professional demands. This series of methods was conveyed to educational professionals in two seminars, equipping them with the necessary qualifications to reach and support children and adolescents in their everyday lives and future careers.
