The main objective of the Create Change project was to encourage young people to take action and create positive change through music. We wanted to inspire them to think globally and act locally, using music as a powerful tool to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainability. By implementing this project, we aimed to: -Develop participants' creativity, innovation, and digital skills, particularly in songwriting, home recording, and music production. -Strengthen the personal and professional development of young musicians and youth workers by offering them valuable learning experiences and intercultural exchange. -Promote teamwork, inclusion, and diversity through international and local collaboration. -Build a strong network between young people, professional musicians, and the music industry, focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility. -Empower young people to become active citizens who can inspire their local communities and contribute to building a more sustainable future. -Stronger partnerships and skills for future projects. Through these objectives, we wanted to ensure that participants gained new competences, increased their confidence and continued to spread the message of Create change.
We applied for the Create Change project because we strongly believe in the power of music to connect young people, inspire action, and promote important social and environmental values. In a time of global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and the after-effects of the pandemic, we saw a need to reconnect youth with each other, with their communities, and with nature. The project addressed the need for creative expression, personal development, and active participation among young people from Slovakia, Germany, and Greece. We aimed to empower them with new skills in music creation, digital tools, teamwork, and environmental awareness. By fostering intercultural collaboration and supporting young musicians and youth workers, we created opportunities for them to develop their talents, strengthen their employability, and contribute to positive change in their local communities.
