Objectives

The main motivation behind the Erasmus+ youth exchange "Green, Sustainable, and Healthy Living" was to explore what a sustainable and healthy lifestyle really meant in practice. The participants examined how they could genuinely change their daily routines and habits and how they could empower people around them to live in a more sustainable and healthier way. The participants of the youth exchange gained not only new knowledge about the concept of sustainability and a healthy lifestyle but also reflected on their daily practices with the main goal of generating ideas on how to change them effectively. Moreover, the participants created a series of videos aimed at raising awareness of sustainability and health issues among their peers and involving them in the debate. The objectives of the Youth Exchange project were: • To strengthen participants’ teamwork and intercultural competencies by providing them with an opportunity to work in a mixed intercultural environment during the project and gain new experiences and knowledge through various intercultural learning activities. • To strengthen participants’ understanding of the Erasmus+ Programme and its possibilities through non-formal activities and to encourage young people to become more active and participate in international mobility activities. • To provide participants with an opportunity to explore sustainable practices from other countries and learn how to live a more sustainable life. • To develop participants' knowledge of sustainable and healthy lifestyles and their essential elements in everyday life (traveling, eating, living, consuming energy). • To encourage participants to initiate debates on sustainable and healthy living among their peers. • To equip participants with digital competencies (shooting, editing videos) and give them space to create a series of short videos raising awareness of sustainable and healthy living issues, targeting young people.
