Working on the proposal, we tried to focus, at first, on those acute environmental challenges that threaten ecosystems on the globe. Pollution, deforestation, global warming—all of them are more or less threats of an urgent character. Among others, we identified an urgency that more awareness should be created about, and most in proportion to the youth, who need to be proactive about such issues. We also realized that our target group—the youth between ages 13 to 17—was undergoing quite several challenges that might limit them from being fully involved in environmental advocacy. These reasons included low awareness and educational facilities on environmental issues, and minimal access to forums where they could voice their issues and suggest remedies. All the partners in this project concurred with the idea that this would be very important in empowering the youth to take an active part in environmental conservation. We all agreed that the education of this generation is fundamental in the production of an environmentally aware new breed, poised to tackle the minefield of ecological upkeep. We aimed to bring about several key outcomes with our project. The participants were to be given practical environmental conservation skills that included waste management, recycling, recycling sustainability practices through the conducting of workshops and interactive sessions, and later exercises within their communities. We are very hopeful that the participants take away the knowledge and skills given and can apply them in becoming environmental ambassadors for their local situations, leading change and garnering interest in the subject among fellow friends and community members. In this way, sustainable values and habits that contain the priority of ecological health and responsible consumption would have been inculcated by ingraining environmental education during the formative years of the participants. In such a context, our aim had to be not only to resolve some of the contemporary environmental issues but also to lay a foundation for ongoing commitment and action among young people so that this project catalyzes lasting change. Our project aimed to reflect the objectives of committing to both environmental education and youth engagement. The objectives of our project were to reflect our commitment to environmental education and youth engagement. Our objectives were: To increase knowledge among the youth about pressing environmental challenges and the impact of these issues on their lives and communities. To encourage and equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to adopt sustainable lifestyles, focusing on reducing waste and enhancing environmental conservation efforts. To motivate young individuals to take active roles in their communities by initiating and participating in environmental projects that advocate for ecological sustainability. To provide a platform for participants to share their experiences and learn from each other, thereby enhancing intercultural understanding and cooperation on global environmental issues. To prepare the youth to face future environmental challenges by providing them with the tools, skills, and knowledge necessary for effective decision-making and action. To inform and educate participants about the opportunities available through Erasmus+, encouraging their continued involvement in such programs that promote educational and personal development. Each of these objectives was designed to not only address immediate environmental concerns but also to contribute to the long-term development of participants as informed, skilled, and proactive members of society.
