The main mission of the University of Thessaly is to promote scientific knowledge through research and to contribute to the cultural and economic development of the local and wider society. The main objectives of the University of Thessaly since its establishment also include: the abundance of bilateral and multilateral collaborations with Institutions and other foundations abroad, the strengthening of informal learning methods through scientific knowledge, the upgrading and utilization of its human resources and the attraction of domestic and foreign young people in order to participate in and benefit from important international exchange programs, in order for the University of Thessaly to continue to shape its inherently internationalized learning and research environment and for the education it provides to remain world-oriented. The priority of the institution is the planning and implementation of actions that will serve to consolidate the international extroversion of the academic community as well as the expansion of the research activity network. Therefore, the expectations from this specific project mainly concerned: -Strengthening of international academic ties through multilateral mobility practices, continuous international exposure, exchange of good educational practices. -Promotion of sports as part of people's culture and as an essential component for a physically and mentally balanced life for modern people. -Promotion of knowledge and its socialization. -Integration of incomers in teaching, training and research activities in order to reap mutual educational benefits. -Enhancing, supporting and ensuring the quality of youth mobility to and from the University of Thessaly. -Integrating incomers into common cultural, social, environmental and sports activities
