Objectives

In recent years, due to various socio-economic changes, a negative environment has been created which has resulted in the loss of many jobs, the exodus of many skilled and unskilled young people, resulting in a negative impact on all sectors of the country's development. OUR OBJECTIVE was to discuss the issue of youth employment in the primary agricultural sector (agriculture-livestock farming) and the processing of its products, presenting and proposing their activity in the field of olive growing, beekeeping, oenology, processing of livestock products, greenhouses for flower and plant crops and the standardization of agricultural products. Specific objectives were defined as information on: 1. on procedures for starting an agricultural business, on the difficulties they will encounter during the work and how they could cope with them, 3. the needs of the market and the absorption of products (national, European and international), 4. about the production and supply of raw materials, 5. rights and obligations of the employer-employee (seasonal, permanent employment, working conditions), 6. training and specialisation programmes to develop specific skills for each employment sector, 7. conditions and procedures for ensuring the quality of agricultural and processing products. Finally, they should compile all the information and material (photos, videos, presentations) in an informative e-booklet in English. The general objectives to be achieved through cooperation in practice were: * young people through non-formal learning processes and structured interaction activities to develop their communication skills, to cooperate, to cultivate life values such as: solidarity, acceptance of diversity, equality, volunteering, social justice, respect for the personality of others, * to make general and more specific improvements to our future programmes through reflection and informal evaluation processes, * to improve participants' language and digital skills, * to enhance environmental awareness through procedures and measures to be taken during the implementation of the programme, * to achieve an improvement in their professional and personal development, * to have the skills acquired recognised and certified by the Youth Pass, * participate and expand the network of partner organisations for the implementation of future projects, * act as multipliers of the knowledge acquired * through their participation in the programme, the Youth Leaders and young people will be better informed in order to (I) encourage them to get involved in the primary agricultural and manufacturing sector, (II) refer them to the appropriate services and/or persons who will advise and support them. *to achieve a cultural osmosis and exchange of cultural product when touring the city's monuments and leisure activities, * learn about the principles-values and the European Union and strengthen their European identity. Taking all the above into account, we aim at a quality work with young people within the organisation and beyond in order to support their participation as active citizens in the European project and beyond.
