Objectives

The CRAVE project was designed to address key objectives that focused on empowering youth workers and fostering creativity among young people, particularly those at risk of poverty and social exclusion, such as NEETs. We aimed to enhance the employability of these individuals by promoting innovative thinking and encouraging intercultural dialogue. Our main goals included improving the creative thinking methods of youth workers and providing structured training programs to enhance the quality of work within youth organizations. Additionally, we aimed to emphasize creative thinking as a key tool for promoting social inclusion and intercultural understanding. To achieve these objectives, we developed a research base and methodological guide for creative learning, a toolkit of non-formal training materials, and a European e-platform for sharing best practices in creative approaches. Through these efforts, CRAVE sought to create a more innovative and inclusive environment for young people across Europe.

Background

The CRAVE project was designed to address critical challenges related to youth unemployment and social exclusion in Greece, Romania, and Liechtenstein, particularly focusing on young people not in education, employment, or training (NEETs). By prioritizing the development of creativity and entrepreneurial skills, CRAVE sought to enhance youth employability and foster social inclusion, in alignment with the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy. Through a comprehensive toolkit of non-formal educational methods, CRAVE empowered youth workers to cultivate creative thinking—a crucial skill for innovation and intercultural dialogue. Coordinated by LEV in partnership with experienced organizations, the project developed training programs that bridged the gap between education and employment, equipping young people with the skills needed to actively engage in society and succeed in the workforce.
