The project "Recycle your roles!" has been designed as a response to the interest of different young people in gender equality, and the need to learn how to deal with situations of discrimination, enhancing the gender perspective from nonformal education. The gender perspective is a transversal approach and a mechanism with a learning methodology that allows identifying, questioning and combating discrimination, inequality and exclusion of the different genders that are marginalised based on a justification of biological differences between women and men, as well as on the classification of their behaviour according to their historical and social background. With this project, we want to prioritise actions and knowledge that are in harmony with the European Sustainable Development Goals that advocate gender equality and inclusive education as the fourth and fifth goals to be achieved by 2030. As well as with the European Youth Goals: Equality of all genders; inclusive societies; and space and participation for all. In line with one of the fundamental values of the EU, equality. Therefore, we believe that sensitising future generations in building solid arguments against this disruption is a fundamental and necessary task in our days. The main objective of the project is to provide 30 participants with the knowledge and good practices related to gender equality, as well as the tools to tackle gender-based discrimination; to convey information on the importance of developing responses and ideas to create a more equal society; to encourage young people to be actors of change by speaking out to develop their ideas in a positive way and thereby share their knowledge in their communities. This is the list of objectives of this YE: To analyse gender equality and inequality, to look at their origins and perceptions, as well as how these variables affect people's daily lives. - To identify the most common situations where gender inequality exists and to identify possible actions for improvement. - To build among participants a set of tools to illustrate and improve the perception of gender inequalities, trying to improve mutual understanding. - To deepen the gender context in the participants' countries. To describe and propose ideas for improvement with regard to the gender role context in our countries. - To know and identify social gender stereotypes in our countries and in the EU. To break with these gender stereotypes, in order to deepen equality. - To share intra and interpersonal experiences with the rest of the group of participants. - To learn how to elaborate a tool book compiling the case studies and the information shared. - Collaborate in the creation of an online awareness-raising campaign, develop a platform, and discover useful online tools. We believe that the achievement of these objectives is fundamental, not only for their high explanatory value but also for their ability to provide tools. These tools can then be used by the participants and adapted to different contexts of their daily lives, both personal and professional. As KA1 offers opportunities for young people to improve their skills, increase their employability and gain cultural awareness, the objective of this YE directly responds to the needs of participants from Spain, Macedonia, Turkey, France and Germany. We wish to promote European values among young people, especially equality. As well as to show the essential connection between the values of the European Union and the skills Youthpass offers to develop these fundamental points. During all the phases of the project creation, we follow the main objective to cover all the needs of the future participants of the project "Recycle your roles", trying at all times to do it according to the Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards. We want all participants to receive the knowledge they are looking for. Therefore, here is the list of the needs of our participants: To understand and comprehend the concept of gender and gender equality. Differentiate its cultural facet and be able to extract it in each of its areas of origin. To gain new knowledge focused on social dialogue, building bridges and fighting discrimination. To break stereotypes and exchange knowledge between different cultures. Find similarities and differences and understand why they occur. Learn how to develop an online campaign for equality and a book of good practices. From the Asociacion Juvenil Talasa, we believe that the possibility to carry out this YE within the KA1 action allows achieving the objectives and cover the needs raised.
