The aim of this joint project between Boodavillle and partner organisations is to generate a learning experience through non-formal education that will help us to strengthen the education of young Europeans in the field of sustainability, environment and society. At the same time, we want to give opportunities to young people with fewer resources and suffering from unemployment, contributing to a more equitable and just society. Permaculture, as a system of agricultural, economic, political and social design principles, is a way of relating to the environment in a responsible and respectful way that also helps to generate a feeling of social union and connection with nature and the rural world. Therefore, our aim is to contribute to raising young people's awareness of a lifestyle that respects society and nature in a social context in which consumerism, wastefulness, frenetic urban life, individualism and exploitation of the environment are the main dynamics of society. We also believe that promoting these ways of relating to the environment will undoubtedly have an impact on the well-being of young people, on their empowerment, their creativity, their understanding of an international and interconnected world in which we must cooperate. We hope that young people will be motivated to create their own projects, that they can acquire an intercultural vision of Europe and their society and that they will feel the need to promote and participate in a sustainable, cooperative, ecological and respectful way of life for their society, their environment and themselves.
