From Ticket2Europe, together with our project partners, we have wanted to promote the development of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Europe and stimulate the entrepreneurial learning of our young people. We feel the need to act, as the current job market has changed considerably. From a “job for life” to one based on entrepreneurship. This also means moving from the traditional mentality of waiting for formal education to provide technical knowledge, to a more active attitude, where we find solutions and learn as we go. The downside of this change is that a significant portion of young people is not prepared to adapt to this new paradigm, leading to youth unemployment of 14.9% in August 2022 in the EU-27. According to the EC, “youth unemployment rates are generally much higher, even double or more than double, than unemployment rates for all ages.” Therefore, we wanted to train young people to be more aware of their possibilities of becoming entrepreneurs and increase their skills and competencies through the exchange of information about how entrepreneurship works in each partner country and region. This way, they have been able to learn more about how to create their own work and generate their own income in the future. The objectives of Pont Up! They have focused on: - Increase the mobility of 32 young people including participants with fewer opportunities and from rural areas; - Bring together 32 long-term unemployed young people (more than 6 months, from 22 to 30 years old) or with entrepreneurial ideas in the exchange and exchange of social entrepreneurship experiences in each partner country; - Allow exchange participants to organize an activity for young people (13 to 30 years old) about their local realities together with partner organizations address the topic of "social entrepreneurship"; - Exchange good practices in social entrepreneurship and stimulate business learning; - Create and disseminate video tutorials on how social entrepreneurship and initiative taking among young people can be stimulated. Pont Up! has aimed to raise the self-esteem and self-awareness of young people with fewer opportunities. It has allowed them to be active citizens, support cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue. Additionally, participating in Pont Up! We have been able to raise more awareness about European citizenship among the participants. One of the priorities of this project has focused on young people obtaining skills in social entrepreneurship and being more active in making decisions related to the job search. They must be the ones to resolve their labor needs on their own, therefore, work has been done to empower younger people to be more proactive and have greater self-esteem to take the appropriate step and be able to enter the labor market. At the same time, the partners aim to be more aware of business learning to implement it in their activities and projects in order to educate more young people about this concept, using this methodology in all stages of the project. The Pont Up! project It is also linked to the following Erasmus+ objectives: - Improve the level of key competencies and skills of young people with fewer opportunities; - Promote participation in the labor market; - Promote active citizenship and combat social exclusion, entrepreneurial learning for young people with fewer opportunities, from rural areas. On the other hand, we want to highlight this project has been carried out, specifically, in the city of Pontevedra, since during the week of the exchange, the most relevant entrepreneurship event in the Northwest of Spain was held, like every year, the Pont Up Store, where a large number of national entrepreneurs are accommodated and a large number of activities related to entrepreneurship are carried out, where our participants have been able to participate and create networking opportunities.
