Currently, many people worldwide were isolated from nature. Often, they didn't notice any connection between their lifestyle, behavior, consumption, and the negative changes happening in the environment at all levels, from local to global. The everyday ecology of our planet was deteriorating. Few people were interested in preserving and protecting the natural environment. The primary focus of this intercultural exchange was to work together as a group and raise awareness of this issue, first among peers and project participants, and later in our local societies. Even though many projects addressed environmental issues, it was still insufficient, and people living in deplorable conditions needed support and involvement in solving environmental problems, which were harmful effects of human activities on the biophysical environment. We worked on increasing public interest in the environmental challenges of our planet. Simultaneously, among young people working in the environmental sector and NGOs, we found many young individuals with leadership qualifications, capable of independently carrying out environmental projects or successfully working with local communities in the field of environmental advocacy and environmental education. The project aimed to promote environmental inclusion and build networks among young people from different countries through youth exchange. The project's goal was also to encourage youth to prevent pollution and disseminate information about environmental issues in the local community. Networking was one of the most efficient processes in which an organization or an individual had to be involved if they wanted to achieve significant change. Its core objectives included: - Providing participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes for the inclusion of young people in activities related to environmental issues. - Sharing experiences and examples of good and bad practices through non-formal education methods and mutual learning. - The purpose of that project was to raise awareness among young people about pollution. - Finding ways to address environmental problems in each country. - Disseminating information among young people on how to prevent pollution. - Sharing opinions, approaches, experiences, and information on the environmental situation and issues among participating countries. - Promoting healthy lifestyle activities for young people in terms of environmental protection. - Increasing awareness about recycling through artistic activities and workshops among young people. - Raising awareness about environmental pollution and its effects on our health. - Empowering young people in active citizenship by taking responsibility in their countries and participating in the decision-making process regarding environmental protection. - Setting an example of international cooperation for young people and encouraging them to undertake similar activities in the future. Additionally, one aspect of that project was involving rural youth in active social and environmental activities in their hometowns, spreading eco-friendly thinking.
