Objectives

The Social Impact Project 3.0 aimed to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the global crisis on youth employment, particularly in Spain, which had a higher than average youth unemployment rate. The project sought to bring young people together around a common theme, fostering learning and the exchange of experiences to enrich their personal and professional development. The project recognized the lack of basic knowledge among young people and youth workers regarding the management of future businesses and ideas, particularly in financing initial steps. To tackle this, the project introduced new types of workshops designed to impart experiential knowledge about running a social enterprise and creating a positive social impact. The project had three main objectives: 1. Enhance the knowledge and practical skills of young workers in social entrepreneurship, showcasing best practice examples, conducting business and marketing workshops, and examining case studies. 2. Improve the skills and competencies of young workers in teaching activities related to social entrepreneurship and business. This involved providing them with a comprehensive understanding of social enterprises based on personal experiences and equipping them with the knowledge and methods to advise and mentor young people in this field. 3. Enhance the capacities of partner organizations through participation in the project, particularly through the exchange of experiences and research on social enterprises and practices in local communities. This aimed to enable partners to utilize their newfound knowledge in both educational activities and practical applications. The project planned to develop tools such as a social entrepreneurship magazine/report and a social entrepreneurship workshop methodology to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge and practical skills gained throughout the project.
