Given that the number of young people dedicated to civic engagement was decreasing, it was time to work on the development of youth workers to prevent it. We could prevent young people from becoming estranged to form social and civic engagement by using tailored training and practices for youth workers. Our goal was to provide training and support for youth workers who wished to initiate their engagement with young people in their own organizations. Teenagers' interest was mainly directed towards environmental challenges and environmental protection, so the project activities would primarily provide training on these challenges. Since we needed to involve young people to attend and form groups locally, our project would also provide training for youth workers on augmented reality, robotics, and coding related to environmental issues. The project would enable small organizations working with youth to evolve in their international cooperation and provide activities beyond borders to youth workers. Our basic and main goal was to help organizations develop in organizing youth activities and train young people to engage in civic life. Unless youth workers received and acquired decent and tailored training to their needs, all of this seemed to be unavailable. We wanted to provide training to youth workers on methods and ways of working with young people. The other goal of our "Green+" project was to provide youth workers with training courses on environmental challenges and face them together with young people. Additionally, it would not be so obvious to attract their attention solely with environmental issues, so we wanted to also connect them with augmented reality, robotics, and coding, to provide interesting and quality working aspects for youth workers. The GREEN+ project supported personal development needs and supported - strengthened youth workers; motivation to make decisions actively for oneself; mobility to different cultures in the EU; non-formal education approaches in teaching and learning. Note that although the project was approved, the National Agency eliminated several activities from the original form, leaving a total of four.
