Objectives

Youth Ambassadors revolved around providing different non-formal learning activities to conduct dialogues and discussions between young people and change makers, to strengthen their soft skills and become active EU citizens. The activities aimed to encourage, foster and facilitate young people’s participation in Europe’s democratic life. This project’s objectives were in line with the EU Youth Dialogue and the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 priorities, as its activities sought the establishment of a bridge between young people and decision makers around the three actions: engaging them to participate in democratic life, connecting them with the EU, and empowering youngsters. Throughout the project, we aimed to activate the following priority objectives: 1- Provided young people with opportunities to get involved and active in the local communities using different non-formal learning activities. 2 - Developed young people’s soft skills (such as teamwork, communication skills, leadership etc.), digital skills (using different platforms, creation and editing of videos, branding), media literacy and usage of social media. 3 - Bridged the gap between the youth and decision makers at local, regional, national and transnational levels. To achieve these objectives, we carried out different activities for the duration of 1 year. We used non-formal learning activities aimed to empower and encourage young people to experience exchanges, cooperation, cultural and civic action, improve their soft skills and become active EU citizens. During one year, we guided a group of more than 200 participants aged 14-18 on the path of active participation.
