The Europe Working for Inclusive Sex and Emotional Education: E-WISEE project aims to enhance Youth Workers' (YWs) skills in affective and sexual education to improve their work with young people. The specific objectives are: Strengthen intervention methodologies: Equip YWs with advanced affective and sexual education tools targeted at youth aged 12-18. Increase exchange among European YWs: Foster dialogue and best practices, as demonstrated in Bonn on 10 December 2020. Expand the network of stakeholders: Engage professionals, social workers, teachers, service workers, and institutional representatives in education initiatives on these topics. The project seeks to train YWs to identify signs of distress among young people and to act preventively, creating spaces for reflection and using non-formal educational methods to address socio-relational and identity issues.
On behalf of the consortium, consisting of MARAK, CYCLISIS, and Associazione Arcipelago APS, we applied for the E-WISEE project to address the crucial need for enriched emotional and sexual education for young people aged 12 to 18. Recognizing the gaps in current support systems, our partnership is committed to empowering youth workers (YWs) with effective tools and innovative methodologies to guide adolescents in developing healthy, informed perspectives on relationships and self-awareness. This project also aims to foster a collaborative network among YWs across Europe, facilitating meaningful exchanges and enhancing intervention approaches. Our consortium is invested in strengthening the network of stakeholders, including social service providers, educators, and institutional leaders, to support impactful initiatives in sexual and emotional education. Together, we strive to build safer, more inclusive environments where young people can learn and grow with confidence and support.
