In line with the main idea of successfully preparing youth workers and increasing their knowledge and capacity to empower NEETs in their country, the project aimed to provide: 1. Tools, networks & resources to the NEETs so that they have the digital skills to gain employment & navigate the digital sphere. 2. Financial literacy & economic empowerment to the NEETs so that they are part of the job market & make contributions towards economic development. 3. Enable the social inclusion of NEETs to counter negative social behaviours from lack of a good support system. 4. Ensure the democratic engagement of the NEETs in EU governance issues. Consequently, these four main areas of improvement were linked to the main aim of the call because of the inclusion & main focus on NEETs. The project aimed at providing curricula for innovative targeted & tailored skills training materials oriented towards the specific needs of the youth workers working with NEETs in Belgium, Spain, Slovenia & Greece. This has been achieved through soft skills coaching & mentoring actions, as well as through the co-creation of educational materials, tools, & methodologies by youngsters themselves.
The main objective of the ENAE Consortium applying for this project was to ensure that youth workers and youth organizations enhanced their capacities through a peer learning approach, based on the exchange of best practices & knowledge. Through this capacity-building, the partners aimed to increase the activation of NEETs at the local level of each of the national partners; thus fostering their integration into the labor market and broader society. Hence, the ENAE Consortium, based on reports from Eurostat, the World Economic Forum, and OECD/INFE, addressed the following needs throughout the project: - Enhance digital skills to bridge the gap with market demands. - Decrease NEET unemployment and support entrepreneurship. - Provide financial literacy and soft skills training for youth workers to facilitate NEET integration into the workforce. - Strengthen NEET ties to the job market by understanding employer recruitment needs. - Improve NEET employability and career prospects. - Socially empower NEETs to prevent isolation and exclusion. - Promote awareness of European values and cooperation among NEETs. - Foster NEET participation in community and EU political processes.
