The objectives of the project are: O1- To reduce the youth unemployment rate in Spain and Greece, which are among the highest in Europe according to Eurostat, by facilitating their access to and integration into the labor market. O2- To understand the perception of young people and companies regarding youth unemployment in order to address their respective needs. O3- To promote inclusion and diversity among young people in the workplace, regardless of their educational background, origin, gender, or race, by fostering the development of intrinsic human skills. O4- To promote digital education among young people through its responsible use in the professional environment and best practices, such as managing their personal brand as candidates. O5- To convey an optimistic message to young people, encouraging them to enter the labor market with enthusiasm and motivation, countering the defeatist messages prevalent in various layers of society, and fostering empathy between young people and companies so that they are aware of each other's needs.
Youth & Empowerment (01/01/2023-30/06/2024) arises in response to a disheartening reality: the high youth unemployment rate in Spain and Greece, which stood at 29.6% and 27.2% respectively in 2022 (Eurostat, May 2022). Our young people deserve a future, and this starts with having a job. Therefore, YE! aims to facilitate access to the labor market and improve youth employability through training that prepares them for this critical moment in their professional careers. To make this possible, we have engaged with young people and companies from both countries who have shared their realities, needs, and challenges with us. All of this is done with a practical orientation that focuses not on technical or educational skills, but on the individual abilities and tools of each person.
