Objectives

The objectives pursued in this project are: General objective: Promote supportive, fair and inclusive societies committed to the 2030 Agenda by empowering youth in Europe. Specific objective: Promote youth committed to the 2030 Agenda and social transformation against change climate, through its approach to European strategies through art, culture and the implementation of transformative initiatives. In line with this the project aspired to create shared spaces in which to build shared values centered around sustainability and multicultural respect, making diversity the key enriching ingredient and our relationship with our natural environment a priority and a source of inspiration to explore our shared heritage Furthermore this is also aligned with the empowerment of young people’s participation in society through awareness raising and training in the development of artistic and innovative pedagogical tools and practices. All of this is inline with the chosen priorities of the project, ultimately seeking inclusion and fighting against inequalities and climate change.

Background

This project addressed the need to provide European youth with educational spaces for civil participation and cultural development, particularly in order to build a healthy relationship with the natural environment. In turn, this need is aligned with the urgency with which we should address and fight climate change and the environmental crisis by building sustainable and inclusive cultures that support EU values and the commitment to pursue Sustainable development goals and the 2030 Agenda. On the other hand, the project also addresses the specific needs of the target youth groups of each beneficiary entity, and the ones they have in common. The project is centered around cultural exchange and environmental conservation, given that the young participants belong to a wide range of economic and cultural backgrounds between and within their respective different cultures, some belonging to rural realities, some from urban areas, many migrants and all in multicultural environments. This diversity however is shared as is the need to build common and sustainable shared spaces for artistic and creative exchange. All entities had a common motivation and implication in the conservation of the local heritage in their local communities.
