Objectives

Our project, like as many of the projects was addressing to the environmental problem especially recycling, but, we were thinking that the effort of the civil society or community groups weren't enough and the project idea was exactly a part of environmental campaign, started by Greta`s week in the frames of the previous project`s ( 2021-2-FI01-KA152- YOU-000038832) by the participants, held in Rovaniemi., which from one hand was itself the best example of Environmental care and ecological stability, but we would to continue "ecological week" in Georgia, where the situation was absolutely opposite. WE were oriented on the fact that Georgia, on 27 June 2014, the Association Agreement was signed between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States, of the one part, and Georgia, of the other part, which aimed at deepening political association and properly Georgia has undertaken several responsibilities to fulfill, including in the fields of waste management, however, it was a huge challenge for the whole country and missed an active practice of waste management and recycling. We agreed with our partners from Georgia that youngsters had to take the initiative and based on successful Finnish practice apply their voice to the communities, authorities and also act (networking) globally to survive the nature and avoid pollution and disaster. The main goal of this YE was to learn how we could live more ecologically in the future and we would achieve this goal by our versatile activities and non-formal learning by the participation of Finish and Georgian young people and addressed to the ordinary people and politicians, those who could somehow positively impact on the environment. By this action we also would like to put our contribution in the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 13: "Climate Action" and Goal 15:"Life of Land". By raising awareness in our local communities and within our families, friends and peers about these issues, we could help contribute to a more environmentally conscious and friendly place for all of us and future generations to live. Accordingly, we had following objectives to fulfill: - to share opinions, approaches, experience and information on environmental situation and issues among the participant countries, - to promote active healthy lifestyle activities for young people, in terms of environmental protection; -- to raise awareness about recycling through artistic activities and workshops on recycling of waste among participants; - to increase awareness about environmental pollution and its effects on our health; - to learn the ABC of active citizenship and practice it in the life of environmental issues; - to cooperate for reuse and recycling.
