The idea of this YE was to together with the partner groups dig into the topic of identity and personality, with the use of art as an form of expression. This linked with the strengthening of European identity and the identity of young people overall. Since all the groups were active involved in the process it did promote active participation amongst young people. They did learn and got a lot of experience regarding cooperating across boarders and using some other language than their native language. The process has also encouraged the participants to face their prejudices and developed skills when they planned the content of the YE. The groups of young participants also wanted to address the issue of being in a nice group, learning from each other, instead of being alone. Personal growth and quality (self-)education, promoting equity and inclusion by giving access specific to participants with fewer opportunities. Some of the key elements we want to address with this project were partnership building, youth engagement and empowerment. The partners wanted to be part of the creation of a new platform for participants and organisations to build multi-cultural partnerships. One significant aim for this Youth Exchange was also to raise awareness on current issues, promoting a dialogue and discussion to educate individuals on new methods and useful tools. Not to forget about strengthening co-operation between new and old partners within international youth work. And from the view of the participants, giving them a opportunity to create new international connections and experiences. By digging into the topic of identity and personality, with the use of several methods, f.ex. art, discussions, cultural evenings and group building to get to know each other we managed to strengthening the level of European identity and the identity of young people overall. One of the most important objective, were to strongly include the participants in the process of planning, applying and implementing a Youth Exchange, where they are the main doers and have a real ownership of the project itself. By doing this we were able to promote active participation among the participants that took part in the Youth Exchange. Due to the change of on partner, we did actually manage to also include the new partner to be involved in the process, so they did have a genuine impact on the content of the Youth Exchange, regarding the realization and content of the activities that were implemented. Also during the time when the group were impatient waiting for the funding decision, the participants addressed and worked on the topics for the Youth Exchange using the created Discord Server, so they managed to get some experience in running activities online. The background and objective for the PV-meeting were to get to know each other, set some ground rules, divide tasks and making sure that we have a common idea and understanding about the involvement of the participants and the topics.
