UN Security Council Resolution 2250 Youth for Peace and Security emphasizes that sustainable peace cannot be built without young people. The participation of young people in peace work must be supported by providing them with information, experience and networks related to peace issues and civic engagement. The project piloted a new model for involving young people in peace work and societal engagement. The aim of the Peace Ambassadors' Further Education project was to strengthen young people's expertise in sustainable peace issues, promote dialogue between young people and decision-makers, promote equal participation opportunities among young people from different backgrounds and parts of the country, and promote their mutual cooperation.
