The goal of the project was to strengthen the training expertise of organizations in order to attract and engage young volunteers. Projects trainings for trainers were carried out in both Finland and Belgium, getting to know the trainers of the partner country as well as the content and activities of the respective training in each organization. Added value comes from the simultaneous implementation of development work using the same formula in two different European countries. The project invests in instructor training and both organizations are committed to development work. Simultaneous development work and learning from another organization creates new ideas and tightens the development work of both organizations. We wanted also organize online meetings in which both the trainers as well we instructors have the chance to share experiences, methods and good practices.
The project's aim was to develop educational activities implemented in both organizations through international cooperation and peer learning. The development of instructor and volunteer training strengthens the quality of operations and has many indirect effects on organizations. With international cooperation, it becomes possible to exchange experiences, methods, good pratices and envision different operating environments with development in mind. The project expands the conditions of operation from a European perspective. Aims of the project were: -To create and experiment with methods that can be used to increase children's and young people's opportunities for hobbies and free time activities. In order to realise this, it is vital to get competent instructors for the activities. -To strengthen the skills of young people as trainers and instructors of non-formal activities. -To increase the number of local organizations implementing hobby and leisure time activities and to develop the quality of the activities.
