In this youth exchange we achieved and exceeded the objectives we aimed at. This music Youth Exchange promoted intercultural exchange, youth empowerment and tolerance, improved the level of key competences and skills of young people, included those with fewer opportunities, as well as promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity. The participants realized the universal and facilitating effect of music in communication. Different cultures and languages met during the youth exchange and contributed to form a unified youth with mutual respect in the context of European values and beyond. The participants created four original songs and shot 4 music videos, related with musical cultural heritage in regards of social inclusion. We also had few performances in Morocco where we promoted the music collaborations, the project, its aims and the Erasmus+ Program. We performed not only the project song but also the national songs and dances by each participating country, sharing cultures and heritage. The participating organizations enhanced their international dimension of youth activities and enhanced the capacity of the youth workers and implementation skills in their support for young people in complementary with the European Union's external action, in particular through the promotion of mobility and cooperation. The project was also designed to support Programme Countries' efforts to efficiently use the potential of Europe’s talent and social assets in a lifelong learning perspective, linking support to formal, non-formal and informal learning. The YE also enhanced the opportunities for cooperation and mobility with third countries not associated to the Programme, neighboring the EU. This youth exchange brought together youth from different background by using music, breaking prejudices by bringing together different countries and cultures especially in the Mediterranean countries, developing artistic competences, becoming aware of the importance of music, discovering new cultures and life-styles, strengthening European values including solidarity, democracy and friendship, freedom, equality, creating positive communication skills among young people through the unifying feature of music and as a result, helping create a European youth that understands each other and producing something together. From this youth exchange independent collaborations were created and follow up to this project through the great connection that this project created, there was a magic energy in Morocco and lots of special souls, we felt like a big family and the energy is still ongoing and will last for many years to come. The following project’s objectives were achieved: - Created a cross-cultural learning and dialogue among the participants from different countries by fostering mutual understanding and tolerance. - Increased the knowledge of the young people about different cultures, lifestyles, languages and musical aspects in Europe. - Promoted the development of creativity and involvement of young people in civil life through promoting Erasmus+ opportunities among them. - Learned how to respect each opinion, culture and lifestyle, break stereotypes through conducting of evaluation and discussion with young people from other countries by using the unique language of music. - Fostered good neighborly relations among the EU Members, candidate states and neighboring countries (all participating countries have Mediterranean coasts) to conduct friendship and relationship through art, music and cultural heritage. - Created amazing songs and music videos that will disseminate messages and promote the EU for many years to come.
