In the 2022 Moral Report, presented by the President, Salvatore MARTEDDU highlighted two broad objectives: • Consolidate and foster the creation of new local and international partnerships. Identify mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of research and knowledge transfer activities to enable long-term effects on inclusive society. • And assess, through indicators, the impact of different programs. These two main objectives require managers to be aware of the issue of inclusion in the social and medico-social sector. EUROPAFORM71 is supported by the Burgundy Franche Comté region Goal 1 (for educators) Determining the conditions for the transition from the integrative to the inclusive paradigm: political will. The interest for managers or future middle managers of social and medico-social is to learn in the host country the different phases that allowed to move from the integrative paradigm (it is up to the person to adapt to his environment by measures of compensation) to the inclusive paradigm (it is up to the environment to create the conditions so that the person is recognized fully in his difference). Note that some structures such as EHPAD are too often in the segregative model. Three parts are needed to achieve this goal: - History and topicality of the recognition of difference and diversity in the host country. - Meeting with operators, financiers and partners. - Comparisons with French practices. Goal 2 (for educators and youth) Promoting the self-determination of users: at the heart of inclusive policy. This is the most decisive aspect of an inclusive policy. Self-determination is applicable to any age of life. The process of self-determination is an ethical positioning but also a guiding principle, a lever so that people with the least opportunities can live with and among others. It is to enable them to exercise the right proper to each human being to govern his life without undue external influence and to the proper extent of his capacities. Having the power to decide for oneself is a learning process that develops. Supporting people with disabilities to become what they want to be, with appropriate support, means enabling everyone to participate in society as a citizen and to access the emotional and material well-being that contributes to a better quality of life. Goal 3 Development of intercultural and eco-citizenship skills (sustainable development) Intercultural skills are based on values of consideration, sharing, solidarity, empathy, often shared in most cultures. They are based on the unity of human beings regardless of identity and cultural particularities. They allow us to experience cultural diversity as a source of enrichment. According to UNESCO, intercultural skills are linked to three of the pillars of education, learning to know, learning to do, learning to be. Getting to know «the other» is the first step of the acquisition of these skills, a step that will never end, because there will always be new «others» to meet. Learning to do is the active phase of contact with the “other”; this interaction is an opportunity both to apply the knowledge already acquired and to acquire more. Learning to be is the stage of reflection on oneself, as a social being, and on one’s place in the world. Sustainable development cannot be tackled by a simple succession of skills that add up. On the contrary, skills must combine and associate in an integrative or even inclusive approach. It “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” According to the skills guide, the basic rule to be applied and respected is: «Only action, which is at the heart of an educational project, allows the effective acquisition of skills». This is the aim of EuropaForm71se: to place young people in situations that will enable them to experience the need and interest to develop these skills. Our objectives can therefore be summarized as follows: Promoting inclusion of all by promoting equality and non-discrimination Promoting European values through eco-citizenship and doing it together.
