The SCRUM for YOUth! project successfully introduced the Scrum project management methodology to youth workers across Europe. This 8-day training course, held in France, brought together 29 youth workers eager to explore non-formal education methods and tools for agile project management in the youth work sector. Over the past few years, RESOPA has been actively engaged in a diverse range of European projects aimed at empowering young people to take an active role in their communities, develop essential soft and hard skills, and facilitate their inclusion in European civic and professional life. Through our work, we identified a gap between ambition and execution—many young people demonstrate strong motivation and enthusiasm to develop their own projects and engage in the Erasmus+ program, yet they often lack the practical skills, structured support, and confidence needed to fully immerse themselves in these opportunities and turn their ideas into reality. The SCRUM for YOUth! project was developed to address this challenge by equipping youth with agile project management skills and Scrum methodology, empowering them to organize, collaborate, and lead impactful initiatives. Beyond skill-building, the project also fostered cross-border connections, providing participants with the chance to network, exchange ideas, and co-create projects that hold relevance both locally and internationally. By bridging this gap, SCRUM for YOUth! not only enhanced individual capabilities but also strengthened youth engagement, cooperation, and innovation within the Erasmus+ framework and beyond. The objectives were to: O1. Raise awareness and achieve attitude change around agile and scrum as frameworks used for managing software and innovation projects. O2. Increase the adoption of scrum principles and showcase them as a staple in managing Erasmus+ projects. O3. Empower participating youth to partake in community building through different actions and campaigns. O4. Promote cooperation between European NGOs in the field of project management.
