Objectives

The project "Facilitating and strengthening the participation and mobility of young people in the rural territory of Nouvelle-Aquitaine" aimed to enable young people who are isolated from the rural territory and have fewer opportunities to actively engage in the local society and in local and European solidarity. Through participatory activities, young people had the opportunity to become active actors and actresses, but also European citizens who actively take their place in societal issues such as the environment, inclusive and just society. The objectives of the project are: • allow young people to acquire a wealth of knowledge and transversal skills, thanks to their active participation in the organization of daily and collective life at the Maison des jateleurs-Solidarités Jeunesses (MDBSJ). In addition, it is a place of social, cultural, age diversity, etc. which allows you to take a new look at others and yourself and to experience the notion of commitment, citizenship and participatory democracy. • a local solidarity commitment which is carried out independently with an activity called “local solidarity”. The goal is to develop intersocial and intergenerational ties locally. • offer a personal and professional springboard experience thanks to all the activities but also with personalized support for future initiatives (search for an internship, orientation towards other structures and systems), and "key times for citizen knowledge " in the form of school remediation thought from the angle of popular education. • (Re)give confidence in young people with societal thematic workshops (gender, interculturality, food, communication, discrimination, etc.) and around permaculture. Their aim is to raise ecological awareness and raise awareness of new sustainable agricultural practices. In addition to the ethical and environmental aspect, this manual support can provide the keys that unlock the mechanisms of self-underesteem. • promote open-mindedness and commitment as European citizens. active. This comes in two stages. Firstly, a weekend on international solidarity, interculturality and preparation for mobility. Secondly, around ten young people (4 young people who were part of the project from the start and 6 others who will join the group) participate in international mobility. • encourage the role of ambassadors of the project. This will be illustrated during several days open to the local population, partners and political decision-makers in order to give young people a voice and promote their experience, during forums, or during awareness-raising in schools in the rural area.
