The "Des librairies Humaines pour une citoyenneté active" (Human bookshops for active citizenship) project was a pathway to citizenship open to a group of young people from a group of young people aged 16 to 25. The group welcomed over 20 young people. Before finding opportunities to get involved, participants discovered positive life stories. These were testimonials from real people that stimulate and inspire the desire to get involved. The aim was also to break down certain clichés and stereotypes. The learning path to citizenship gave the community the opportunity to listen to 3 categories of testimonies to promote civic engagement: 1/ A human bookshop, featuring the stories of 10 young people who have lived an experience of commitment or mobility in Europe. 2/ A human bookshop with the stories of 10 youth workers who have shared their motivations. 3/ A human bookshop with the stories of 10 elected politicians explaining their political careers and commitments. The 3 events were co-organized by the group of participants and the associated structures: Le Local jeune de Lanvallay, la maison bleue, Europe Armor ( structure Conseil générale 22 ). The result was 30 stories collected by the citizenship training participants. They are available on the BVED: https://www.bved.fr/ and , as we had more results than expected on: https://librairiehumainesolidarite.lepodcast.fr/ The journey was a series of actions spread over 12 months, enabling each of the group's participants to -Meet and locate political players and institutional locations (local, regional, national and European) -Find resource people and locate key places to get involved in the voluntary sector. Create and build educational, social and environmental micro-projects. - Organize and cooperate in groups to produce citizen initiatives. -Use and transpose the fundamental declaration of human rights to get involved, take part, gain confidence and become autonomous. -Integrate volunteering into their social and professional integration, and give meaning to their studies. -Estimate, evaluate and distinguish the role of the citizen and the elected politician in the choices or proposals to be made for the local community. We paid particular attention to involving the European dimension in the choice of life stories. The 3 "librairies humaines" events were the 3 axes on which the training and actions were based.
