At a time when the urgency of changing practices has been recognized, Concordia and the young people of the ESS'Team Rhône-Alpes have committed to developing everyone's ability to take action for the ecological transition = by helping to raise awareness among as many people as possible, and by offering everyone the chance to get to grips with climate issues and work together to find ways of responding to them. The objectives of our ESS'Team project were as follows: - Encourage young people to become active players in their region, by getting involved in local life. - Federate a community of young ambassadors for the Social Solidarity Economy in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. - Develop cooperation between SSE structures by setting up a network for communicating and exchanging practices, both in terms of supporting young people and organizing events to raise awareness of the SSE and the Sustainable Development Goals. - Train civic service volunteers and other young people in the region in SSE, the SDGs, global interdependence and the ecological transition, using popular education tools, visits to local sites and projects, and by setting up innovative projects in the region. - Develop young people's ability to take action, giving them the opportunity to build on their experience and support them in their plans for the future. - Raise awareness among the general public, and particularly among young people, of the current issues linked to climate change, of the alternatives offered by the SSE and of the initiatives carried out by our partners in the region, in order to bring about sustainable changes in practices for the inhabitants of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and elsewhere in Europe With this project, we wanted to encourage young people to get involved in a collective project and enable them to meet their peers by raising awareness of the Social Solidarity Economy and the ecological transition. Social networks, innovative events and dynamic communication were the strengths of this project, which promotes the dissemination of the SSE among peers. Ultimately, the project aimed to encourage young people to consume differently and become involved in the SSE by orienting their training and job searches towards it.
