Recycling is achieved by converting wastes that can be reused into a second raw material by subjecting them to physical and chemical processes. The aim of recycling is to prevent excessive use of resources. Thus, the amount of garbage is reduced; A serious step has been taken to benefit the environment. Zero waste, on the other hand, advocates avoiding, reducing, reusing and recycling waste. This can help achieve positive socio-economic outcomes, including improving social solidarity. With the development of technology and the increase in population, unfortunately, every year, more than two billion tons of garbage, which is enough to fill 800 thousand Olympic swimming pools around the world; are produced. Domestic waste, that is 1.3 billion tons per year, is expected to reach 2.2 billion tons in 2025. Based on these data, we carried out our project in order to contribute to the creation of environmental awareness focused on the waste problem. Because we wanted to leave a clean nature to future generations, to contribute to future generations acting with environmental protection awareness and to encourage them to live as individuals who are aware of this issue. Besides, the most important thing is conscious consumption. As the population increases and technology develops day by day, conscious consumption and reducing needs are very important. It is necessary to raise awareness on this issue, change habits and ensure conscious consumption. We carried out our project in order to contribute to the formation of this awareness, to ensure that the people we can reach through our project raise awareness on these issues, and to contribute to the acquisition of new attitudes and behaviours on the subject. Goals Achieved -We contributed to raising awareness about issues such as environmental sustainability, fighting the climate crisis, zero waste, conscious consumption and recycling. -We tried to draw attention to the need to develop awareness about protecting the environment. -We ensured awareness about waste management and recycling. -We tried to raise awareness about the factors that cause the climate crisis and climate change. -We contributed to raising awareness about the Erasmus+ program and disseminating it. -We contributed to increasing awareness of social and global problems. -We pointed out that intercultural dialogue should be developed and that people should live a life free from prejudices. -We emphasised the importance of participating voluntarily in all activities that require social responsibility.
