Objectives

“Hike for Health 3.0” is a continuation of “Hike for Health” and “Hike for Health 2.0” that were organized in Csolnok in 2019 and in Budapest in 2021. As both of the projects succeeded we would like to organize 3rd edition of the project for those that had no chance to participate yet and use our experience from previous editions to improve the quality as well as add an innovative idea to the base that we already have. We are planning to use hiking as our main outdoor activity to promote active life style and non-formal learning. However, this time we would like to include in the project 2 mobilities – first in the Pilis mountains in Hungary where we will get ourself ready for more demanding hiking in Polish Sudety mountains. Our innovative idea is to give the participants an opportunity to share and explore each other’s cultures by actual direct presence in Poland and Hungary and contact with the locals. Covid-19 pandemic situation forced us to stay at home, as individuals and mostly behind the screen. We made a survey among youngsters that belong to our organizations and learnt that it is hard for them to drop the “new pandemic lifestyle”, that they spend time in front of the computer, are “scared” of direct contact with their peers and their health condition worsened (70% of youngsters that took part in the survey admitted they put on weight). Project objectives: 1. Encouraging intercultural learning between Polish and Hungarian youth through activities in mixed groups, intercultural evenings and visit to both Poland and Hungary. 2.Promoting hiking as a way to active lifestyle among 100 young people and citizens in Csolnok and Esztergom through flash-mob and special T-shirt design that the participants will wear on the polish hiking trails 3. Improving the level of competences and skills for 18 young people regarding their well-being (outdoor games, hiking) and the environment through non-formal education activities Project’s objectives are linked to the priorities and specific objectives of Erasmus+ as young people will promote healthy development and sustainability on self and environmental levels using international exchange of good practices in the domain, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship.
