Summary of our project Reasons for implementing our project By participating in our project, the partner organizations in our project both contributed to informing other countries about the environmental policies in their own countries and learned new information about the measures taken by other countries against environmental pollution and learned about good practices. In this context, it is aimed to strengthen the development cooperation focus on water management and sanitation, agriculture and health in Hungary, the host organization. In Ireland's climate plan, efforts are being made to achieve a 51% GHG reduction by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050. Romania is developing policies to strengthen its ability to monitor agricultural pollution, raise public awareness of its environmental impacts and encourage farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practices to reduce and prevent pollution. Slovakia is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Turkey is preparing a long-term climate change strategy and action plan to accelerate the reduction of GHG emissions and increase co-benefits for cities. In this context, all organizations involved in our project closely follow the environmental protection policies in their own countries and closely follow the studies carried out in their countries about the damages caused by waste materials to the environment. As a result of all this information, we have contributed to raising individual and social awareness about environmental pollution caused by waste materials with our project implemented with partner organizations. Thanks to our activities and studies we implemented in our project, we contributed to raising awareness on this issue and helped people to gain sensitivity to carry out more studies on environmental pollution.
