Noise pollution is a growing problem across Europe and one that many people may not be aware of its effects on their health. It shows that environmental noise, and road traffic noise in particular, is a major environmental problem affecting the health and well-being of millions of people in Europe. Twenty percent of the European population is exposed to health-damaging long-term noise levels. This corresponds to more than 100 million people in Europe. Many people do not realize that noise pollution is a major problem affecting overall human health, including their own. Of course, there are far more premature deaths from air pollution than from noise pollution. However, noise appears to have a greater impact on indicators related to quality of life and mental health. In fact, according to some findings of the World Health Organization (WHO), noise is the second largest environmental cause of health problems after air pollution (particulate matter). Awareness of the fight against noise pollution is a phenomenon that can be prevented by the development of urban culture and citizenship awareness. In this framework, it is seen that it is important to create a level of awareness through educational activities. If we have the right to live humanely, it is our civic responsibility to avoid behaviors that will disturb the society and to respect the rights of others. In this context, our project helped to draw attention to noise pollution, which is becoming more and more important every day. Within the scope of our activities carried out during the project, many issues related to noise pollution were discussed with our participants. Our goals achieved in this context are as follows: ~To have knowledge about misconceptions about the concept of noise, ~To raise awareness about the link between environmental sustainability and noise pollution, ~To raise awareness that combating noise pollution is a phenomenon that can be prevented with the development of urban culture and citizenship awareness, ~To raise awareness about how to control the source of noise, ~To raise awareness about the harm of noise pollution to the human body, ~To raise awareness of people about noise pollution, which is one of the main factors that negatively affect the quality of life in the city, ~To ensure that participants and other target groups learn new information about Erasmus+ projects, ~To have an idea about different cultures, ~The objective of ensuring that young people with fewer opportunities benefit from the concepts of inclusion and diversity has been achieved.
