Environmental pollution harms nature and all living organisms, including humans, and is a leading risk factor for death. Air pollution is a significant health and environmental problem, causing 11.65% of global deaths and 6.67 million lives lost. Environmental exposures also rapidly increase severe disease cases, such as asthma, birth defects, cancer, cardiovascular disease, childhood cancer, chronic obstructive lung disease, infectious diseases, low birth weight, and preterm delivery. The adverse effects of pollution on health outweigh those of war, terrorism, malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, drugs, and alcohol. Young people's education is crucial as early experiences shape their values, lives, and attitudes. Education is the first condition for sustainable development, and addressing environmental issues can make the world safer, healthier, and more comfortable. The goals of this initiative included raising awareness among youth leaders, developing values for environmental protection, promoting recycling, encouraging school students to have a green attitude, raising awareness about garbage separation, disseminating information about environmental pollution prevention, stimulating interest in environmental protection, promoting Erasmus+, promoting open-mindedness, developing foreign language skills, and encouraging inclusiveness. We aimed to promote environmental education and enhance people's ability to address environmental and development concerns. We utilized informal teaching strategies and efficient communication techniques. Our objectives were as follows, - Create awareness of environmental issues among youth leaders by deepening their knowledge of pollution and environmental degradation and understanding of the importance of recycling; - Develop a set of values for environmental protection by practicing environmental-friendly techniques; - Develop an active social position on the topic of environmental protection by providing youth leaders with an opportunity to be actively involved at all levels in environmental decision-making; - Popularise recycling; - Encourage school students to have the right attitude toward the environment and the green movement by creating a role model; - Raise awareness among participants and target audience about garbage separation by implementing activities and presenting them to the public; - Disseminate information about realized activities for environmental pollution prevention; - Stimulate the interest of the target audience towards environmental protection and conduct own research on the issue by implementing eye-catching activities and techniques; - Promote Erasmus+ by organizing voluntary activities; - Develop open-mindedness to eliminate discriminative relationships of any kind by exchanging intercultural experiences and team-building activities; - Develop participants’ foreign language skills by promoting dialogue; - Encourage Inclusiveness among participants by implementing various team-building strategies.
