Due to the recent conflict in Ukraine and many of Ukrainian immigrants coming to Hungary (especially region of Nyiregyhaza) we found a gap in inclusive activities that we offer to local youngsters. We aimed to organize programmes that include both youngsters from Hungary and the ones from Ukraine that had recently moved in our neighbourhood but we lacked experience on how to overcome language barrier and deal with cultural conflicts that might arise. Although we had experience with working with Roma kids it seems the methods we used while working with them were not adequate in the new situation. Project "Inclusive community" helped us to improve the skills of our youth workers in the area of non-formal education methods aiming for inclusion and cultural understanding. The knowledge we gained from our study visit were shared with other local NGOs in a form of a Guide. Objectives: - to improve skills and knowledge of 4 youth workers from Hungary; - to learn from the experience of our project partner regarding non-formal education methods aiming for inclusion and cultural understanding; - to create a Guide on activities based on non-formal education methods aiming for inclusion and cultural understanding.
