The idea for the project was based on professional discussions with international partners, who identified a lack of training of professionals in the field of sport (including teacher training), which is lacking in the presentation of sport as a competence development opportunity and the identification of related practices. The project aimed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of the methodology of education through sport and to design an exercise. The indirect objectives were to gain additional knowledge about healthy eating and to experience the social power of sport. We wanted to provide the participants with knowledge and tools that would enable them to be aware of the positive community-building effects of sport and to be able to create sport activities and exercises that could bring about positive changes within the community. For this reason, we have included in the programme an introduction to the methodology of education through sport, the presentation of exercises and game designing. We wanted to make it as easy as possible to reach as many youth workers and organisations as possible to use sport as a tool to achieve educational objectives, as the values that are important for youth workers could be transmitted through sport and thus contribute to the health of their environment, as the methodology aims to learn through play and sport. In writing the programme plan, the following objectives were identified for the 9-day programme, which were achieved based on feedback: - To demonstrate the potential of sport as a tool for value transfer - To increase the toolkit for participants for their future work - Exploring, designing, developing and testing the tools of sport as an educational tool to promote EU values and develop competences - Developing competences (group leadership, communication, flexibility - adaptation) in the design and facilitation of educational workshops and their delivery - Familiarising participants with the Move and Learn manual (http://online.fliphtml5.com/ojpns/grgr/) - Theoretical transfer of the methodology of NFE and education through sport
