Before answering the question of what we wanted to achieve by implementing the project, the youth workers or participants of this Training Course "TC" requested that we note the overall goal of Eramus+ 2021-2027 which is to support personal, educational, and professional development in the fields of education, training, and youth work throughout Europe. It is also imperative to note that this project's idea "Erasmus It" came as a result of the collaboration of youth workers, youth volunteers, young mentors, youth teachers, youth coaches, and young people over 18 working with young people from 5 EU and neighboring countries (Morocco, Italy, Malta, Georgia, and Ireland) and its dedication to youth workers and NGO members who wanted to develop their Erasmus+ project writing competencies & confidence for future deadlines. Additionally, The idea of this TC was generated from past projects feedback from most of our previously implemented or attended Erasmus+ TC of the past 6 years, participants often asked us, if they will like to know how to write a successful Erasmus+ project to address issues that can benefit the young people they work with or to equip themselves with youth work skills needed to work effectively at EU level. We then carried out virtual survey questionnaires on www.surveymonkey.com via email link, WhatsApp, and Zoom call interviews with 121 EU youth workers including our ex-Erasmus+ TC participants, ESC volunteers, youth workers, trainers, youth mentors, and Youth leaders during the COVID-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions for 11 months. The findings showed that 91.4 % of them wanted to learn how to apply an Erasmus+ project but do not know how because they do not feel confident and 97.6% of them want to take part in a TC that uses non-formal education methodologies to allow them to learn from each other at slow paste. Basically, with this TC we want to achieve addressing these needs of youth workers. We are happy to report that this project "Erasmus It" TC was in line with active participation in the network of Erasmus organizations (Erasmus+ 2021-2027 program objectives) and also in line with Erasmus+ 2021-2027: Inclusion & Diversity Priority as it envisaged reaching out to youth workers including those with fewer opportunities, i.e., refugees, asylum seekers, undocumented youth workers who cannot travel due to their residential status in Ireland and newly arrived, either directly or indirectly through youth workers working with these groups.) and EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 objectives of Youth NGOs to network. Having explained why & what we wanted to achieve with this TC in the above paragraphs, Here we will like to share the TC objectives and aims of the TC. This TC's overall objectives/aims were to improve participants’ practical skills in the design, management, and funding of Erasmus+ projects from shaping the idea, to identifying the right Erasmus+ YE or TC & designing a good project that responds to the young people's needs they work with. In view to fostering European integration and excellence in non-formal empowering education by, and for participants, and those interested in developing successful Erasmus+ projects. Our Project (TC) "Erasmus It" specific aims/objectives were: - To improve participants’ attitude toward writing Erasmus+ 2021-2027 projects so they will be empowered to feel more confident in their skills. - To equip participants with Erasmus+2021-2027 project writing competencies that will enable them to create S.M.A.R.T aims, timetables, evaluation, a management plan, and dissemination/follow-up activities for their future projects. -To develop participant skills on how to assess the youth they work with's needs, how to understand the needs of the community, and how to respond to these needs with the help of Erasmus+ 2021-2027 projects. - To raise awareness of Erasmus+ Quality Standards for mobility projects among Participants. In this Final report someplace we will use E+ as an abbreviation of Erasmus+ 2021-2027. Q & A will be an abbreviation of Question and Answers. The symbol "& " will means and.
