"Climate Change: let's take action together!" is a youth exchange project that took place in Feltre (BL) from October 12th to 23rd, 2023, with the primary goal of addressing the challenge of climate change in an innovative way. The project successfully achieved all its set objectives by: Creating a space for dialogue and intercultural learning among young people from two different countries, encouraging the acquisition of an "European ecological citizenship; Raising awareness among young people about sustainability and climate change issues; Equipping young participants with new skills related to a more ecological and sustainable growth; Sensitizing young people to the themes of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; Defining, on an international scale, common solutions aimed at mitigating climate change from grassroots initiatives, inspiring other young people to take action; Providing young participants with concrete tools to make them active protagonists and creators of new sustainability-oriented solutions, directly involving local communities; Supporting youth activism and strengthening effective youth participation oriented towards promoting sustainable development; Inspiring other young people to take actions against global warming; Utilizing communication languages, artistic expression, and multimedia as experimental peer education methodologies; Recognizing and certifying the level of skills, attitudes, and competencies acquired by young people during the mobility experience; Delving into the Erasmus+ program in more detail; Establishing a transnational partnership network as a starting point for future collaborations. During the project, participants had the opportunity to delve into EU policies on sustainable development, discussing and debating how to translate programmatic guidelines into concrete actions to be implemented upon their return to their local communities, envisioning a better future together. The project's added value was based on the "empowerment" of the young people, who, within the project, not only deepened their understanding of the climate change topic but also took active roles as change-makers. All project phases followed methodologies related to non-formal/informal education and involved activities such as role plays, ice-breaking and team-building games, energizers, workshops, study visits, discussions, and debates. Thematic workshops on sustainability and climate change were conducted, experimenting with cooperative learning and game-based pedagogy, as well as various artistic and creative disciplines. The project had a direct impact on participants, group leaders, partner organizations, and the local community. The project's direct outcomes were the digital products created during the exchange, ensuring their visibility through sharing by all partner associations and the local actor network on their communication channels. All produced deliverables had a long-term impact and benefit: shared and promoted at all levels, they became tools for media education, fostering horizontal communication among peers. Furthermore, the youth exchange provided an opportunity to discuss common projects, laying the foundation for future synergies and collaborations, with long-term benefits for each partner association.
