We wanted to achieve several important objectives through our project focused on climate change and its impact on human health. The primary goal was to increase awareness among young people about the pressing issue of climate change and its direct effects on our well-being. We aimed to go beyond just theoretical knowledge by organizing workshops and simulation games to help participants truly understand the ripple effects of climate change, with humans being the first to bear the brunt. Our project also sought to introduce participants to national and international policies and strategies developed to combat climate change. We believe that by understanding these policies, young people can play an active role in supporting and advocating for environmental sustainability and climate protection. Promoting an active and healthy lifestyle was another key objective. We organized activities such as hiking and nature cleaning to provide participants with a hands-on experience of nature's impact on health and to encourage environmentally responsible behavior. In addition to these immediate goals, our project aimed to foster the development of soft skills among participants. Through the youth exchange, we wanted them to enhance their analytical and critical thinking skills, practice public speaking, and learn how to express themselves in a safe environment. These skills are not only beneficial for personal growth but also contribute to the broader goal of creating environmentally conscious and socially responsible individuals. The project addressed a real need in society. Despite ongoing efforts by some individuals and companies to protect the environment, there is still a significant portion of the population that needs education and awareness about the impact of climate change. Our project aligns with initiatives like the European Green Deal and the European Climate Pact, aiming to engage people, communities, and organizations in climate action. By empowering young people with knowledge and a sense of responsibility, we hope to contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
