Migrants often play an important role in the labour markets and economies of the countries in which they settle. Supporting migrants and refugees to upgrade their skills and competences is also empowering the European labor market, productivity and development. Most migrants and refugees experience difficulty to find a job, education, learning language, understanding the local culture, developing a social network. For this reason, it is important developing youth workers’ knowledge, skills and competences in helping refugees and migrants. Following the sudden migration bomb after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we have realized a common gap in our youth work to support and empower migrant youth for their integration into the social, educational and economic life, through access to the education and training, as well as to employment opportunities. Therefore, we want to carry out this project to improve youth workers’ capacity for supporting migrant and refugee youth to integrate in social and economic life. To do this, we have set the following project objectives: • exchange experience and good practice in youth work between 27 participants and 9 organizations related to social, educational and economic development of migrant youth. • to equip 27 youth workers with tools and good practices to support migrant youth employment in their local community. • developing the capacity of youth workers and partner organizations to better understand and analyze the needs of migrant/refugee youth. • developing youth workers’ knowledge, skills and competences to help migrant youth with integration of social, political, civic and economic life.
