Objectives

The EuroBIO project aimed to address critical environmental issues, which were central to the European agenda. The focus was primarily on the connection between health, well-being, food, and the environment. The project placed special attention on malnutrition and obesity, recognizing both as significant health problems that were directly linked to how food was produced, marketed, and consumed. Another major area of focus was waste management and recycling, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship and its connection to individual health. The overall goal of the project was to promote a healthy lifestyle and environmental conservation among European youth. The project aimed to inspire participants to become more balanced individuals, both internally and in their relationships with nature and society. The specific objectives of the project included: Educating youth about the risks and consequences of obesity and malnutrition, particularly in the context of European youth. Providing practical tools to prevent obesity or malnutrition in everyday life and encouraging participants to share this knowledge with their peers. Encouraging young people to recycle and understand the benefits of waste reduction. Teaching participants to advocate and run campaigns to raise awareness about environmental impacts, motivating them to inspire other young people and broader target groups. By the end of the project, participants were expected to feel more balanced within themselves and their natural surroundings, empowered to address environmental issues, and motivated to become "greener" Europeans.
