Objectives

According to the World Health Organization, more than a quarter of the world's adult population (1.4 billion adults) are insufficiently active. Worldwide, about 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men do not get enough physical activity to stay healthy. With this project, we aimed to promote projects co-financed by the European Union so that more people were informed about such opportunities, to provide European citizens with new knowledge, skills, and competences that were necessary in a dynamically changing society that became more and more mobile, multicultural, and digitized. The goal was to ensure equal opportunities for people with fewer opportunities and to include them in society as equal members of society, promote citizenship of young people, and promote their understanding of the common values of the European Union. The main goals of the project were to develop young people's lifelong learning competences, to provide new knowledge and skills, to teach creative learning methods, which could be used to draw attention to the topic of an active and healthy lifestyle, to develop themselves, to improve young people's teamwork skills, to teach young people various methods that could be used in everyday life, to make their lifestyle more active, to raise this issue on a wider scale, to define negative factors, their effects, causes, consequences, and to find solutions, to explore more deeply both the topic of the project and the possibilities of European projects. Project participants defined various positive aspects of an active lifestyle, and young people were introduced to various indoor and outdoor activities. Young people played sports, went on hikes, engaged in physical activities involving various means of artistic expression, such as dance, theater, music, and others.
