During the training "Space Inside," we developed the skills and knowledge that would enable youth workers to respond to fresh and quickly evolving situations and needs of young people and communities brought about by the state of modern Europe - increasing migration and the resulting mixing of cultures, as well as changes in personal and social life brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic in the past 2 years - while also upholding through economic and political changes in the work environment. The goals of this course were to provide educators, social professionals, and youth workers with cutting-edge techniques, assist them in their work, and provide them with better resources for working with persons who were experiencing rejection and isolation, ultimately promoting integration in Europe. As a result, we promoted the sharing of best practices and instructed participants on how to plan, lead, assess, and develop new non-formal learning events. The program emphasized linked communication and true engagement and incorporated methods from improvisational theater, contact improvisation, authentic motion, dance and movement therapy, and meditation. Youth workers were experiencing tools to help young people develop empathy, a feeling of belonging, and self-confidence with the aid of these skills. Participants also left the course with strategies for adjusting to the language and cultural shifts brought on by migration or diverse social origins. The strategies employed also enabled participants to apply new ways and ideas related to mindfulness, compassion, and awareness of the body-mind link into their regular professional and private practices. Through the enhancement of member competencies, the growth of their networks, and the creation of more prospects for future collaboration, we also aimed to boost the capacity of NGO's via this training program.
