Objectives

The primary objective of this project has been to equip young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a democratic society and contribute to its development. Through various project activities, participants have cultivated democratic thinking, fostered responsible engagement, and enhanced effective communication with peers and community members. The project focused on several key tasks: Empowering Youth: Targeting young individuals aged 15 to 18, the project aimed to impart the knowledge and practical experience needed for meaningful participation in democratic processes within their schools and communities. Participants explored democratic principles, learned how to articulate their opinions, engage in negotiations, and respect diverse perspectives. This not only boosted their confidence in democratic systems but also deepened their trust in such processes. Developing Democratic Competencies: The project provided opportunities for young people to build essential skills related to democracy, including critical thinking, effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution. Participants received a comprehensive understanding of democratic concepts, alongside training in effective argumentation and respectful dialogue. Addressing Youth Needs: Attention was given to the interests and aspirations of young people, ensuring that their existing needs were met. The project aimed to foster a deeper understanding of democratic principles in their daily lives while offering various opportunities to actively practice and apply these skills. Encouraging Youth Engagement and Initiative: The project actively nurtured ongoing dialogue, collaboration, and interaction among youth groups, reinforcing democratic values within schools, communities, and society at large. Through these initiatives, the project has successfully empowered young people to not only participate in but also shape the democratic landscape around them.
