We wanted to achieve, by being engaged in volunteering activities and learning about different types of activism participants would learn how to recognise other people’s needs and have opportunities to use their skills to help others. They would understand better their inner purpose and what is the social issue to which they want contribute more in the future. All, that would happen in an intercultural environment with young people from different countries which would broaden their horizons, challenge them to live in a new environment and therefore become more confident in themselves. The original objectives of the project were aimed at empowering and motivating young people to engage in (local) activism activities. Specifically, the project aimed to: - Increase knowledge of social activism and volunteerism concepts and good practices from different countries. - Raise awareness among young people about the importance of active participation in local communities. - Provide opportunities for young people to discover and experience different types of activism through volunteering activities. - Equip young people with knowledge, information, and tools on activism. - Create activism activities organized in participating countries post-mobility. - Inform young people about opportunities available through Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
