The project ‘Driver’s Seat - Time to Take the Wheel again’ aimed to create an open, intercultural exchange among 40 young people aged 16 to 25 from the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Hungary and Italy, allowing them to share their struggles, difficulties, and potential solutions stemming from recent years' challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout the project, participants were encouraged to support one another in their individual pursuits towards self-realization, while exploring together new strategies for personal fulfillment and self-development. The knowledge and experiences gained through this project were intended to empower participants to not only navigate their own paths toward self-fulfillment but also to serve as catalysts for positive change within their communities. With the newfound insights and perspectives, participants were equipped with the skills to inspire and motivate other young people in their local community to rekindle their aspirations and pursue their passion, leaving a lasting impact on the journey towards collective well-being and personal growth. Our goals were to: 1) Empower 40 young people to identify and overcome negative behavioral patterns, such as self-isolation and demotivation 2) Equip 40 young people with effective coping strategies to navigate challenging life situations 3) Equip 40 young people with self-awareness and resilience skills.
