Objectives

We wanted to develop novel and innovative trainings and practices that will shed light on the issue of migrant stereotypes against the host societies. We wanted to make this new material available primarily to Youth Workers that deal with immigrant youth issues, so they are prepared and trained to tackle the issue.

Background

We applied for this project because we wanted to combat stereotypes, disinformation and prejudiced perceptions of migrant youth towards the European societies they are hosted in, which impede their smooth integration into these societies. We wanted to address the need to develop specialized knowledge primarily for youth workers on recognizing and addressing migrant stereotypes against their host societies, in order to foster social integration and inclusion.
