Objectives

“Closer to nature” was developed by young people from 5 different countries: Poland, Norway, Greece, Ukraine, and Spain. They wanted to learn by themselves but also share the important message with the others about ecological problems that each of them face regardless of the country they live in. With this project, we focused on bringing more awareness to the ecological challenges we face in the world at the moment. This project was a very strong inter-cultural and multi-cultural exchange for youngsters who strongly care about ecological issues. They were focused on creating new solutions for local and global eco-problems. Mobility was full of practical activities which everybody could participate in and gain new knowledge on how to treat our planet better. Based on the research we conducted among the young people, we decided to use our different perspectives from different countries to create something that can influence others to make a change in their life to be more ecological. Our mission was to learn by ourselves and teach others how to have more zero waste life, be proud of it and share it with family and friends. Our main objectives were to raise ecological awareness and a more ecological way of life. We also focused on supporting cultural differences and showing everybody there is a safe place to exchange thoughts. We wanted to promote creativity, innovation and active citizenship among youngsters and raise awareness of unity and values. By having people from many different countries, we did exchange good practices between the countries with high ecological standard with those where ecological and climate actions are still rarely popular. We wanted to remind people about sustainable goals and how you can easily incorporate them in your daily life. The project was also the opportunity for many people to work on the international project for the first time. We promoted language learning and offered support to people with fewer opportunities.
